This workshop is open to K-12 educators who want to learn more about Wisconsin history, government, geography, and economics, as well as ways to incorporate these topics into the social studies classroom.  It will mark the release of the K-5 Suggested Scope & Sequence and the Wisconsin Studies appendix to the 2018 Wisconsin Standards for Social Studies

We will concentrate on tying content and pedagogy together, focusing on the Inquiry Practices and Processes strand of the revised standards.  Not only will there be sessions on Wisconsin-specific topics, but you will have time to review resources and work in small groups or your district team.  There will be ideas for K-5 educators as well as suggestions for incorporating Wisconsin-specific history, geography, economics, and government into 6-12 coursework.

This workshop is a partnership between the Wisconsin Historical Society, Wisconsin Geographic Alliance, the Wisconsin Policy Forum (formerly Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance), and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Registration fee is $25 per person.
